Cloud, AWS still a leader in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant”

“Migration to the cloud doesn’t stop.” This is stated by Sid Nag, vice president and analyst at
Gartner
, the world’s leading multinational strategic consulting, research and analysis in the field of information technology.
And as cloud sales continue to grow , Gartner predicts that total worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services will reach a record $592 billion as early as next year, representing a 21% increase in annual growth from $490 billion in 2022.
“Current inflationary pressures and macroeconomic conditions are having a push-and-pull effect on cloud spending,” Nag said. “Cloud computing will continue to be a bastion of security and innovation, supporting growth in uncertain times thanks to its agile, elastic and scalable nature.”

2022 also consecrates
Amazon Web Service
in the Olympus of the Gartner Magic Quadrant. For the twelfth consecutive year, the Cloud giant has been named a Leader in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Services.
But what are we talking about? First of all, it should be specified that the Gartner Magic Quadrant analyzes the main players on the market of a given sector or service, with proprietary methods of qualitative analysis. Basically taking advantage of market trends, such as direction, maturity and participants and is divided into four categories: Leaders, Visionaries, Niche Players and Challengers.

Certainly the most coveted position is that of Leader, which also this year and for 12 consecutive years belongs to the Seattle giant:
Amazon Web Service
.
AWS was among the first cloud service providers when
it launched Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)
and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) 16 years ago. Their APIs have been adopted by the entire industry and often copied by other competitors.

For this reason, the company believes that this recognition validates AWS’ ability to innovate and provide the broadest and most complete set of services for Cloud Computing.
After all, Jeff Bezos also wrote in his first letter to shareholders in 1997, Amazon makes decisions and evaluates compromises differently than other companies. After all, AWS focuses on long-term value rather than short-term profits, makes bold rather than timid investment decisions, and most importantly, relentlessly focuses on one and only goal: the customer. And that’s right, 90% of AWS’ roadmap for new services and features is driven directly by feedback and requests from its customers.

AWS support teams work hard every day to innovate and make sure that the AWS Cloud is the best solution on the market. Management makes bold investments to invent, build, and manage services that help enterprise customers innovate and create amazing experiences , and the entire AWS team is proud to see these efforts recognized by Gartner.

All AWS teams work closely with a vibrant partner network. That’s why AWS has the largest and most dynamic community, with millions of monthly active customers and more than 100,000 partners from more than 150 countries around the world. Suffice it to say that 70% of these are based outside the United States. In short, when you use AWS, the network is the basis of every action.
